Originally, I had whoever won a round be the next judge, as a sort of limiting factor; if you win, you have one less chance than everyone else. Unfortunately, in practice it ended up bouncing the judging between two or three people with similar senses of humor.  The key differences with Apples to Apples are creativity, storytelling, and ruthless subjectivity.
